Stuck open or closed
Diagnosis for shutters that will not travel correctly, have jammed in the guides or have stopped part way.
24/7 emergency support
For shutters that are stuck, damaged or leaving a building insecure, Sunrise Shutters provides a 24-hour emergency repair line, 365 days a year, across Birmingham, the West Midlands and the rest of the UK. We assess the immediate risk, make the opening safe and plan the right repair.
The service
A shutter failure can affect security, access and day-to-day trading. The first priority is to protect people and the opening. Our team will ask what has happened, whether the shutter is open or closed, and whether there is visible impact or break-in damage before arranging the next step.
Our engineers make sure staff and members of the public are safe before any work starts, then inspect the shutter to find the source of the fault. They have dealt with every kind of shutter failure, so very little will surprise them.
An emergency visit may resolve the fault immediately or may secure the site before planned parts and follow-up work. If the shutter cannot be fixed straight away, we make the premises secure and return to complete the full repair during normal working hours. We will always tell you which route applies rather than treating a temporary measure as a finished repair.
Downtime is costly. A shutter that will not open can stop you trading, and one that will not close leaves stock and premises exposed overnight. The emergency line is there for both, whatever the time of day.

What happens next
The detail varies by site, but the decision points stay clear.
Tell us the location, shutter type, position and visible damage. Keep people away from an unstable shutter.
We assess urgency and arrange the most appropriate response using the information available.
The engineer inspects the shutter, identifies the likely fault and works to restore safe access or security.
If further parts or work are needed, we set out the next action clearly and keep temporary work distinct.
