The service

Heavy-use doors specified around the site

Industrial openings see forklifts, deliveries, shift changes and weather every day. The specification starts with the size of the opening, how often the door will operate, the clearance above and beside it, and whether security, insulation or visibility matters most.

We manufacture every industrial shutter in-house to the surveyed dimensions, using materials and components from suppliers we trust, then install it ourselves and hand over with the controls explained. Planned maintenance and 24/7 emergency repairs are available after installation.

What we consider

Scope and practical considerations

A clear brief helps us identify the right service, product or next action for the opening.

01

Warehouse and factory doors

Solid steel-lath curtains for loading bays, goods entrances and factory openings where strength and security come first.

02

Large and high-use openings

Larger shutters specified around the opening size, the number of operations a day and the operating method the site needs.

03

Insulated, perforated and punched options

Curtain options can be considered where heat loss, airflow or visibility through the shutter matters.

04

Manual or powered operation

Manual, electric or remote-controlled operation, chosen around shutter size, frequency of use and who needs access.

What happens next

A straightforward route from enquiry to outcome

The detail varies by site, but the decision points stay clear.

  1. 01

    Survey the opening

We record dimensions, headroom, side room, power and how the door is used through the day.

  2. 02

    Agree the specification

Curtain, guides, operation, controls and finish are matched to the site and the brief.

  3. 03

    Build in our workshop

The shutter is manufactured to the surveyed size and checked by our team before it leaves the workshop.

  4. 04

    Install and hand over

Our installers fit the door, test it under load and explain the controls and the maintenance route.

Useful before you call

What to have ready before a survey

  • The approximate width and height of the opening.
  • What passes through it: vehicles, goods, people, or all three.
  • How many times a day the door is likely to open and close.
  • Whether there is power near the opening, and whether security or insulation is the priority.

Common questions

Clear answers before you enquire

These answers describe the service in general. A survey or inspection is still needed for site-specific advice.

What is the difference between an industrial and a commercial roller shutter?

Industrial shutters are generally larger and heavier, built for loading bays, factory and warehouse openings that are used many times a day. Commercial shop shutters are lighter and chosen mainly for security and appearance. The survey confirms which specification suits your opening.

Are industrial roller shutters made to the size of my opening?

Yes. Every shutter is manufactured in our own workshop to the dimensions recorded at the survey.

Can you repair an existing industrial shutter instead of replacing it?

Often, yes. Our repair team covers mechanical, electrical and impact damage, and the emergency line is answered 24 hours a day. Where a shutter is beyond economic repair we will say so and quote for a replacement.

Which areas do you cover for industrial shutters?

The Midlands and South Yorkshire are our core areas, with installations and repairs carried out further afield across the UK.
